About Muleshyne
Back in the 1920's my great-grandfather was a sharecropper in Mississippi, getting whatever he could off the land, taking care of multiple kids and his trusted mule, whom he affectionately named "Shine."

Of course, farming with Shine, and later using Shine to haul all of his crops to sell at the local market did not feed all of his many "children".

So he started up a little side hustle...a moonshine distillery, which he successfully operated until getting arrested and imprisoned for a few years.

When he got out, Shine was still alive and on the farm waiting for him.
